1. Data controller
TranslationAtlas is the controller for personal data processed via https://translationatlas.com. Contact: [email protected].
2. What we collect
Order data: your name, email address, optional phone number, language pair, deadline, notes and the documents you upload. Technical data: server logs (IP address, user agent) kept for security.
3. Why we process it
To prepare quotes and fulfill translation orders (contract performance, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); to meet legal retention duties (Art. 6(1)(c)); and for our legitimate interest in securing our systems (Art. 6(1)(f)). We do not sell personal data and we do not use your documents to train machine-learning systems.
4. Who receives it
The linguists and vetted service partners working on your order (bound by confidentiality), our hosting provider, Stripe for payments, and our email provider. Where processors are located outside the EEA, transfers are protected by EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Retention
Uploaded documents and translations are kept for 90 days after delivery so we can handle revisions — then deleted. Invoicing data is kept for the legally required period. You can request earlier deletion of documents at any time.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Email [email protected] — see also our GDPR Notice. You may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
