Frequently asked questions

Everything about quotes, certification, deadlines and delivery.

How does the quote process work?

Fill in the order form to see an instant estimate. Our team then reviews your documents and confirms a final fixed quote by email, usually within 2 business hours. You only pay after accepting the quote — via a secure Stripe payment link.

Is the instant estimate binding?

No. The estimate gives you an accurate idea of cost based on word count, service level and deadline. The final quote — confirmed by a human after reviewing your files — is the binding price, and it never changes after you pay.

What is the difference between certified and sworn translation?

A certified translation includes a signed accuracy statement from the translator or agency, accepted by most universities and authorities. A sworn translation is produced by a translator officially registered with a court, required in countries like France, Spain and Germany for legal and civil-status documents.

How fast can you deliver?

Standard turnaround is 24–72 hours depending on volume. Rush options deliver within 24 hours for most document types. Deadlines are confirmed in your final quote and backed by our on-time guarantee.

Are my documents confidential?

Yes. Files are transferred over encrypted connections, access is limited to the linguists working on your order, and we delete data on request in line with GDPR. NDAs are available for corporate clients.

Which file formats do you accept?

PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, plain text, images (JPG/PNG scans), and localization formats such as JSON, XLIFF, PO and CSV. If your format isn't listed, send it anyway — we almost certainly handle it.

Do you offer refunds?

If we miss a confirmed deadline or the translation has substantiated quality defects that we cannot remedy through revision, you are entitled to a partial or full refund as described in our Refund Policy.

Can I order as a company with an invoice?

Yes. Every order receives a proper invoice, and corporate clients can request payment on account terms, framework pricing for recurring volume, and a dedicated project contact.

How much does a certified translation cost?

Certified translation starts at €29.90 per page (250 words), with a €25 minimum per order. Standard translation starts at €0.09 per word. Your exact price depends on document length, language pair and formatting, and we confirm it personally before you pay.

Is a certified translation accepted by USCIS or immigration authorities?

Yes. Certified translations are accepted by most US agencies, including USCIS, plus universities and public authorities worldwide. Requirements vary by authority, so we confirm acceptance criteria as part of your quote.

How long does a sworn translation take?

Sworn and notarized translations typically take 48–96 hours, depending on document length and destination country. Standard and certified translations are usually faster, at 24–48 hours.

Is there a minimum order for translation?

Yes, €25 per language pair. Most single documents — birth certificates, diplomas, short contracts — comfortably fall within that minimum.

Can I get a rush or same-day translation?

Yes. Deadlines under 48 hours apply a ×1.25 rush rate, and under 24 hours ×1.5. Rush availability depends on document length and is confirmed as part of your quote.

Do I need to send the original document for a certified or sworn translation?

Usually a clear scan is enough for a certified translation. Some sworn-translation procedures require the translation to be physically bound to the original document — we'll flag this before you order if it applies to your destination country.
